Privacy policy

This policy covers anvildev.io, operated by Anvil Development Agency Inc. It explains what the site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, work email, company and role if you give them, and your description of the problem. We also record which page the form was on and, if you arrived from an advertisement, the campaign identifiers in the link you clicked. We use this to reply to you and to understand which pages lead to real conversations.

What your browser sends. Like every website, our server records the IP address and browser type of each request. We keep the IP address attached to a form submission so we can recognise and block abuse of the form.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which buttons are used. It sets cookies and reports to Google. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.

Advertising measurement. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag so that we can tell whether people who saw one of our LinkedIn advertisements later contacted us. LinkedIn may set cookies and receive the URL of the page you visited, your IP address and browser details, and may associate that with your LinkedIn profile if you are logged in. LinkedIn’s own privacy policy and cookie policy describe what LinkedIn does with it. You can opt out of LinkedIn’s advertising cookies through LinkedIn’s guest controls.

Bot protection. The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person from a script. Turnstile checks your browser and may set a cookie for that purpose.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you tick the box asking for it, and every such email carries an unsubscribe link. We do not share what you send us with anyone outside Anvil except the service providers that run our email, hosting and analytics, and only so they can do those jobs.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept for as long as we are in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick the thread back up. Analytics and advertising data are kept for the retention periods set in those tools, currently fourteen months for Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it. You can block cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

Where we are

Anvil is headquartered in Canada and works with clients worldwide. Information you send us is processed in Canada and by our providers in the United States.

Changes

If we add a new tool that collects information, we will update this page in the same change. This policy was last updated on 16 September 2026.
